You know, this business is a funny thing. Its a very busy thing. Film, film, produce, edit, film, walk the red carpet, get a few hours of sleep (if you're lucky) and then start all over again. I don't think there are many other jobs out there like this (the medical profession is probably the same way). Where you are just expected to be on and ready to go at any time and not complain about it. But don't get me wrong, I wouldn't change what I do for anything in this world. Anything. I feel that i am so blessed it is beyond belief that i OWE it to whoever gave me this chance and still wants to give me that chance so i bust my ass. I film all day and then go to a meeting after meeting or i am in meetings all day and film all night and sleep an hour and do it all over again. It is amazing what you're body can stand once it gets in a routine. When i was in high school and younger, the thought of getting less than 10 hrs of sleep a night seemed crazy to me. Now i'm jumping for joy if i get 6 hours!
The media is a whole other...thing. It is amazing what our world has turned into. Yes, i think press is important and I know i'm in a business where people want to know my every move and I just have to deal with it. But it is weird that people want to know what i'm buying at the grocery store or who i took to dinner last saturday night. That is why I'm trying to get so involved with Twitter and the new media movement. I think Twitter and outlets like that give us the chance to put out what we want people to know and not have to go thru a middle man. There is no editing on twitter...i'm writing what i want and you can choose to believe it or not, but know that it came straight from the horses mouth. (i do have a pretty big mouth too, ha ha). I think it is finally time for us to stand up and take charge of it. Yes, i still have a publicist who handles my life, but i want her to handle my business life. When it comes to my everyday life and whats going on with me personally, i want it to come from me, and i think people appreciate that.
The new movie has premiered and so far i've gotten great reviews. I think people will like it and view it as a fun summer movie. I had a ton of fun with katie filming it and i hope that comes thru. SO send your feedback if you've seen it..like i said..i'm more about it coming from the person and not the media!
I'm in the middle of filming a new movie, but i've got some time off (thank god). As soon as the movie premiered, i was on the plane out of town the next morning to Cabo. I've got a special friend with me and i'm really excited. I'm trying to surround myself with people that I believe to be good and that can have fun. So thats what i'm doing. And i'm having a ball while doing it. So hopefully we can have a great time, get some sun, and i'll come back ready to finish out the movie!

I never know where to start these type of things and what people actually want to know.
I've spent my life working towards where I am now and accomplishing things i NEVER thought i would. But i have and sometimes i sit back and can't believe that this is my life. I started off in a small, small town, planning on going to college for some bioengineering stuff and I stumble upon a modeling job and I guess you can say "the rest was history". I've put so much blood, sweat, and even tears into what I do and I think right now things could not be going any better. I've got my production company booming right now and I'm making movies I really like and I'm really proud of. Even though my last tv endeavor didn't quite work, failures always happen and you learn and grow from the mistakes. I really thought we had some great young actors and actresses that are still going to go places, but not everything always works out. So we'll try again.
My personal life is fine. Nothing major to report. I have great friends that have been by my side for years and years. Demi and I are no longer and I think it's for the best. She really is an amazing woman and a great friend but at the end of the day, we aren't meant to be together. I still see her all the time and still stay in touch with her girls. Those three are amazing and are going to grow up to be amazing women. They are well on their way.
As most of you probably know, I'm a little obsessed with twitter. Okay, maybe not a little, a lot. And if you've been living under a rock for the past year, you also saw that I, Ashton Kutcher, a lone man, took down an entire STATION. An empire you might even say. THATS RIGHT! I took down CNN and beat them in the race for a million followers. I think the internet and websites like twitter allow for people to communicate and develop more than we ever have before. It's a great way to get information out and also allow for me to communicate with my fans, which I love. We are all doing it for fans anyways, its great to get their input and get to meet the people that are supporting me.
I think our society is really headed into a great age. An age where we are all in charge of our own selves and the information we want sent out. Being in the public eye all the time definitely is hard because there are so many things said about you that you can't control. With Twitter, i have the opportunity to say what I want and tell people what I want and i control it. And i love it. It allows me to connect with my fans and make a difference, i believe. I was honored that i was chosen to be on times most influential people list. It was such an amazing honor. The dinner was AMAZING. I was surrounded by people that have made a HUGE difference in the world and i feel like i'm just starting out and can't even compare to them. But it was a great experience and i feel so blessed. I've come a long way from Kelso, huh?
I'm working on a bunch of new movies right now. Its definitely busy, but i LOVE filming. It really is my passion and so i'm so excited that i've got so much going on. I'm also getting ready to go on a press tour for Killers, so that'll be fun. I definitely get burned out and i'll come home, and give me like a day or two and im ready to go back out and work! So right now i'm REALLY busy with all my movies and press, but i'm having fun! So, if you aren't a fan of me, i dont' suggest turning on the tv anytime soon cause i'm gonna be on every talk show haha.
I'm here to have fun and can't wait to see what the future holds!
